Chidambaram taken to AIIMS after he complains of illness

“Mr. Chidambaram was brought to the AIIMS around 5.30 p.m. and taken to a VIP private room to be examined by a team of doctors,” said a hospital official.

Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, who is currently under the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED’s) custody in connection with the INX Media case, was taken to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on October 28 after he complained of ill-health.

“Mr. Chidambaram was brought to the AIIMS around 5.30 p.m. and taken to a VIP private room to be examined by a team of doctors,” said a hospital official.

The ED, earlier, took seven-day custody of Mr. Chidambaram to interrogate him in the INX Media case. Subsequently, the agency got it extended till October 30.
